Views & the Detail Panel
A moodboard when you’re browsing, a dense list when you’re hunting, and a detail panel that shows the live web and your offline copies side by side.
Three ways to see your library
| View | Best for |
|---|---|
| Cards ⌘1 | Visual browsing: big covers, title, domain badge and status on each card. Zoom covers larger or smaller with ⌘+ / ⌘−. |
| List ⌘2 | Scanning: compact rows with thumbnail, title, domain and save date. |
| Headlines ⌘3 | Density: titles only, maximum bookmarks per screen. |
The detail panel
Open any bookmark (↵ or click) to bring up the detail panel. It comes in three modes; pick whichever suits you:
- Side panel: a resizable inspector column next to the grid, ideal on Mac and iPad. Toggle with ⌘I, drag its edge to resize.
- Popover: a floating card over the grid for quick peeks.
- Full screen: immersive reading on iPhone and iPad.
Web, Edit, Archive
Every mode has the same three tabs:
- Web: the live site, loaded fresh. Handy for seeing what a page looks like now.
- Edit: title, URL, note and collection, right in the panel.
- Archive: your offline snapshots, including every dated version you’ve backed up. No internet needed.
The Web/Archive pairing is Ewig’s party trick: compare the page as it is today with the page as you saved it, and feel quietly vindicated when the live one 404s.
